The new forklift can achieve 100% charge in 80 minutes, and its high-voltage lithium-ion battery and endurance can support three-shift operations in high-demand industrial applications. The paper, brick, wood, metal, and other heavy-duty industries can now easily incorporate robust electric lift trucks into their fleets, which feature class-leading turning radius, rapid acceleration, and more responsive operation.
"The launch of this truck series provides a reliable alternative to IC trucks for tough applications, thanks to the unique combination of lithium-ion batteries, high-voltage drive systems, and the use of multi-phase permanent magnet motors," said Phil Ireland, project leader for Hyster's 20/20 platform and balanced solutions. "In terms of productivity, control, and autonomy, operations can expect capabilities similar to IC, while also benefiting from reduced noise levels, zero emissions, and low total cost of ownership."
The four new models (two compact and two standard) can operate for a full 8 hours under high capacity. Thanks to rapid acceleration over the first 15 meters, and high speeds of up to 21 km/h (unloaded) and 18 km/h (loaded), tasks can be completed quickly, making them ideal for job sites with longer travel distances.
Using a 50 kW charger, the lithium-ion battery can be fully charged in 80 minutes, allowing for quick charging during normal work breaks without the need to change batteries. Cutting-edge motor and battery technology brings high productivity and low service requirements. The integrated lithium-ion battery requires no maintenance and, in the right applications, has a lifespan three times that of lead-acid batteries.
The robust new trucks offer reliability in both indoor and outdoor applications. The maintenance-free Hyster® Stability Mechanism™ helps maintain truck stability, allowing for effective operation even on rough surfaces, while the sturdy chassis and high-strength mast design optimize capacity, visibility, and rigidity.
